A Two-Level Toddler and Children’s Play Structure with Climbing Net Stairs
The design concept prioritizes compact vertical play and toddler-friendly activities. Instead of a traditional staircase, NinescapeLand used a climbing net stair system as the main connection between the first and second floors.
Five climbing nets at different heights form the primary vertical route. This turns movement between floors into an active play experience rather than a simple transition. On the opposite side, irregular triangular steps provide a more conventional but still playful alternative. Children can choose between climbing the nets or walking up the steps, depending on their confidence and energy level.
The ground floor is designed mainly for toddlers. Soft building blocks support open-ended construction play, while a swing-style soft play element adds gentle movement. A mini basketball hoop introduces a simple target-based activity that is easy for young children to understand.
The second level focuses on a ball pit-centered experience. Stepping-stump posts create a balance challenge around the ball pit. A small platform with a slide allows children to slide directly into the ball pit, creating a clear “climb–slide–land” loop. A soft-padded balance training zone adds another layer of coordination and gross-motor development.
This combination makes the project a strong example of indoor soft play equipment in Las Vegas that can serve toddlers and young children in a limited space.

Creating a Two-Level Play Structure within 94 sqm
The main challenge was to deliver a complete two-level play experience in only 94㎡ / 94 sqm (approx. 1,011 sqft). A traditional staircase would consume valuable floor area and reduce play value. The solution was to replace the staircase with a climbing net system that functions as both circulation and attraction.
Another challenge was balancing toddler-focused activities with more active climbing and balance elements. The design separates the ground-floor toddler soft play zone from the upper-level balance and ball pit zone, allowing children to move between different intensity levels while keeping supervision straightforward.
